Eco Chic Green Flooring with Leather Belts

We've highlighted a number of the best options for eco-friendly flooring in an earlier post, including chic bamboo and cork, sophisticated recycled glass, and gorgeous reclaimed wood floors.  London-based TING has introduced a new look for green flooring - using recycled leather belts.
Vintage belts are carefully hand cleaned with a nontoxic solution, shaved to provide a uniform width, and then hand assembled with water-based glue to create unique and intriguing tiles.  TING leather flooring tiles are available in square foot sections for about $75 each and can be used for innovative, eco-friendly flooring, countertops, tables, and even walls.
About TING
Founded in 2000, TING features the work of Inghua Ting.  Salvaged leather belts and vintage saddles, reclaimed seat belts, and similar discarded accessories are the foundation to TING's creations.  These materials are carefully selected and refinished before taking on a new life as a luxurious bag, wallet, belt, or unique recycled home decor.   TING recycled accessories can be purchased worldwide through the company website.
